Location: Bay Area, Northern California – Home Based
Position Overview: The District Manager, Merchandising plays a pivotal role in driving sales, building relationships, and executing strategic programs to ensure the success of our portfolio within distributor and field accounts. This position is responsible for working closely with distributor teams, field sales representatives, and key account managers to align priorities, foster collaboration, and optimize performance across multiple channels.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain productive relationships with distributor teams to align on goals and priorities.
- Develop and execute incentive programs in collaboration with distributor partners.
- Provide ongoing education on portfolio priorities during team meetings and work-withs.
- Ensure regular communication and quarterly engagement with distributor teams to assess performance and provide support.
- Conduct regular store visits, price surveys, and targeted sales initiatives to drive results.
- Focus on strategic accounts to build impactful partnerships with store managers.
- Develop and execute initiatives tailored to the unique needs of each account segment.
- Create and distribute a monthly bulletin that includes trends, program updates, advertising schedules, and incentive tracking.
- Track and analyze data at the account and store level to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with account managers and operational specialists to ensure seamless program execution.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 years of distributor or supplier experience
- Wine retail sales experience preferred
- A foundation of wine intelligence and the ability to educate others
- Competitive and Charismatic personality
- Strong communication, both written and verbal
- Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft office
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Safe driving record
- Must be able to present in front of large groups of people.
