Job description

Your mission

As our new Finance Manager, your mission will be to manage and adapt scalable finance operations that enable our organisation’s growth and align with the complexities of international compliance. You’ll be responsible for enabling our tax advisor’s timely and accurate bookkeeping, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with German GAAP, tax laws, and statutory requirements while implementing efficient processes.

You’ll be working closely with internal teams and external advisors, and you’ll optimise our financial systems, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. Your support will play a key role in enabling us to expand sustainably while maintaining a strong foundation of financial integrity and control.

Please note, this role offers hybrid or remote working flexibility, and is open to a 4-day workweek arrangement.

Your responsibilities:
  • Oversee the global bookkeeping, auditing, and tax activities and coordinate the external partners.
  • Actively manage accounts receivables, ensuring tax compliant invoicing and timely cash collection.
  • Manage all expense flows (i.a., credit cards, supplier payments), validating invoices against contractual. agreements and local tax compliance while handling increasing transaction volumes.
  • Collaborate across teams, supporting cross-functional financial alignment.
  • Analyse financial data and reports to provide insights for business decisions.
  • Execute global transfer pricing activities.
  • Administer the corporate insurances.
  • Manage the Finance Software Tech Stack (Datev, Helu, Pleo, SMACC, Sevdesk & more).
  • Actively manage Cash.
  • Manage statutory reporting (e.g. Jahresabschluss, Transparenzregister, Bundesbank, Commercial registry).
  • Execute Klim’s ESG reporting.
Your profile
  • Educational & technical expertise: Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with hands-on experience working under German GAAP & tax law.
  • Demonstrable experience: Proven track record of working with financial tools like Datev, Sevdesk, Pleo, or similar tools and managing financial reporting, and external stakeholders (e.g., auditors, tax advisors).
  • Organisational skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle high transaction volumes while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
  • Tech-savviness: Curiosity and adaptability to leverage modern finance tools and technology for process optimisation.
  • Mindset & approach: Solution-driven, collaborative, and motivated by Klim’s mission to scale regenerative agriculture and combat climate change.
