Summary:
As the Field Operations Manager - Northeast, your role of this position is to provide leadership and management to our partner resources in the region the individual is responsible for, to include field service delivery, contractor quality control, relationship management, and the ongoing development of a dynamic network of sub-contracted partners, to ensure that Vector Security Holdings, Inc. is properly supported with highly qualified TSPs to perform services and installations throughout North America. The Field Operations Manager - Northeast will serve as a liaison, advocate, and ombudsman, while handling all disciplinary action and contract defaults for all TSPs in addressing challenges, concerns, and dispute resolution for any and all issues that may arise. To assist in aiding our internal business units on the development of new/existing scope, equipment, design, or technologies being deployed for both new and existing customers. Customer face to face representation for necessary field needs, supporting sales and engineering.
What You’ll Do:
- Management of Partner Network – External resources:
- Manage and oversee all TSP’s (Technical Service Partners) per their identified region.
- Conduct monthly business reviews to go over their KPIs and performance metrics, discuss future business objectives, and identify areas within the business that need improvement.
- Identify performance areas, conduct onsite quality control reviews, and provide feedback with an improvement plan.
- Provide ongoing training in areas of the TSP portal, new products, and to ensure the partners are capable of performing tasks efficiently.
- Serve as a liaison, advocate, and ombudsman for our TSP’s in addressing any challenges or concerns they may be having with any business unit or individual at Vector Security, Inc.
- Partner Development & Recruitment:
- Manage, develop, and implement short- and long-term recruitment strategies for Vector Security Holdings, Inc.
- Source contractors (TSP’s) for all current and new technologies supported by Vector Security Holdings, Inc., and child affiliates. (VSN, VSI, ADS)
- Participate and conduct full cycle recruiting including technical screenings, interviews, competency vetting, onboarding paperwork, and general contract negotiations.
- Support internal contractor utilization by educating Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Regional Operations Coordinators on our TSP’S and their available skill sets and geographical location.
- Ongoing Partner rate and territory coverage negotiation for services offered.
- Maintain close relationships with regional partners and manage the network based on their workload, skill sets and project availability.
- Business Unit Support Function:
- Engage/Support our Installation and Service Management, to gather business needs and demographic information for new and existing workload to ensure proper coverage.
- Engage/Support our Sales and System Design business units, to conduct site surveys, scope creation/clarification on large projects and new customers, and general support of overall product offerings installed.
- Engage/Support our VSN tech management team by identifying areas/locations to place our in-house technicians (without fracturing our TSP network in the process), technician screenings, conducting technical interviews, providing technical support, and working with management on the site auto assignments in the responsible Field Operation Manager’s region.
- Provide support and direction to the organization for TSP concerns or problems (i.e., issues, complaints, challenges, etc.) to ensure that proper coverage and needs of resources are met.
- Provide the organization with recommendations of Partners for current workloads and continually monitor and ensure we have best partners to meet the customer expectations and SLA’s.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10-Years: Commercial Construction/Security Industry Experience:
- Building Codes, National Electric Code, good knowledge of construction in general, risk management, awareness of construction project flows, multiple jurisdiction codes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Software:
- Reporting, tracking, email communication, presentations, territory, and statistical maps for contracting resources.
- Decision Making:
- Must be able to make sound and accurate decisions, that will affect our company/department financial success.
- In addition, must be able to make personnel decisions regarding Hiring, Termination, Counseling, Mentoring, and administer disciplinary actions as may be required for our field resources.
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Must possess mature skills with the ability to communicate effectively and intelligently (both written and orally) with all levels of management, subordinates, peers, customers, and field resources.
- Knowledge of Alarm/Fire/Burg/CCTV/Basic Networking Knowledge:
- Used in all phases of project oversight and implementation, including the support of field technicians, customer communications, and end user training/trouble shooting.
- Experience in Conflict Resolution:
- Minimize and provide resolution to the inevitable conflicts that arise due to the ever-changing support needs, assignments and the wide variety of personalities that are involved.
- Maintain Confidential Information & Material:
- Must be able to maintain company and personnel confidential information, must possess a high level of Integrity.
- OSHA Certification (Based on Jurisdictions):
- OSHA 10/30 card - Preferred
