The Vice President of Consultant Relations is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing and expanding Progyny’s relationships with key benefits consulting firms. These firms are instrumental in generating leads, referrals, and introductions to employers. This role requires a proactive approach to fostering strong relationships, driving revenue growth, and enhancing Progyny’s position as the preferred fertility benefits provider among consulting firms.

What you’ll do…

  • National Firm Ownership:

    • Develop and execute a national relationship strategy for designated firms, including Aon as the primary focus, and 2-3 additional firms such as Gallagher and USI.

    • Drive revenue growth and increase the win rate with these consultant firms.

    • Build and maintain relationships with national Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), senior consultants, actuaries, and practice leaders.

    • Optimize and expand existing consultant agreements and identify opportunities for new partnerships.

    • Coordinate and coach internal leadership for effective consultant meetings.

    • Provide regular updates to leadership on firm performance, challenges, and opportunities, along with actionable recommendations.

    • Represent Progyny at national firm events, such as practice summits and conferences, to strengthen visibility and connections.

  • Sales Collaboration:

    • Partner with the sales team to prioritize consultants and local markets for targeted education and messaging efforts.

    • Facilitate meetings, introductions, and events between consultants and sales to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Progyny’s differentiators, value proposition, and strategic positioning.

    • Act as a key member of the selling team for strategic accounts associated with designated consultant firms.

    • Attend and support regional firm events to drive growth in critical markets.

  • Client Success Partnership:

    • Collaborate with the Client Success team to support client retention, share best practices, and communicate firm sentiment and trends.

    • Serve as the voice of the consultant to provide insights and coaching that elevate client relationships.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with sales and marketing to incorporate consultant feedback into go-to-market strategies and materials to enhance product offerings and positioning.

    • Provide insights from the consulting community to inform future roadmap development and product packaging.

    • Identify organizational improvement opportunities and collaborate with relevant teams to implement solutions.

About you…

  • 8+ years of experience in consultant relations, business development, strategic alliances, preferably in the digital health or health plan space healthcare or benefits industry 

  • Deep understanding of market priorities, trends, and challenges.

  • Existing relationships with key health and benefits consulting teams across the U.S.

  • Proven experience in translating product capabilities into partner or client value.

  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.

  • Demonstrated ability to sell complex healthcare and benefits solutions.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $185,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
