Technical Practice Lead – Remote with unlimited paid holiday!

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Practice Lead will champion and grow our technical practice. This role combines thought leadership, team development, and client delivery, ensuring that our solutions leverage the full power of Microsoft technologies. Reporting to the Head of Practice, the Practice Lead will inspire their team, drive technical excellence, and contribute to the strategic direction of the business.

What skills and working characteristics should this person have?
  • Deep expertise in Power BI, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents), and AI technologies.
  • Strong software development background (.NET, C#, Python, or JavaScript) and familiarity with Azure cloud solutions.
  • Proficiency in data modelling, visualization, and analytics.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and impactful solutions.
  • Experience leading and developing technical teams with a focus on collaboration and personal growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

  • As the Technical Practice Lead, you’ll be responsible for:
  • Define, develop, and manage Infinity Group’s technical practice in alignment with business objectives, utilisation targets, departmental profit margins and product development.
  • Establish standards, best practices, and frameworks to guide solution development and delivery.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure the technical practice evolves with market/technology trends and MicroSoft’s product roadmap.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration across the IG estate and continuous improvement.
  • Create individual growth plans for team members, supporting their professional development and technical certifications.
  • Inspire a high-performing team, encouraging creativity, innovation, and technical mastery.
  • Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of solutions across the full MSoft stack using BC, CE, Power BI, Power Platform, AI tools, and custom development.
  • Act as a hands-on technical expert, supporting the team in solving complex challenges.
  • Ensure all projects meet high-quality standards, are delivered on time, and provide measurable client value.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, helping them understand how Microsoft technologies can solve their business challenges.
  • Support sales and pre-sales teams with solution design, proposals, and technical demonstrations.
  • Lead client engagements, ensuring solutions align with client goals and exceed expectations.
  • Stay updated on the latest Microsoft technologies and industry trends, integrating them into the practice.
  • Promote the adoption of AI, automation, and other advanced technologies to drive innovation in solutions.
  • Identify new opportunities for Infinity Group to expand its service offerings and technical capabilities.
