Our Editorial Team within the WEBTOON Content Department is responsible for sourcing, developing, and delivering WEBTOON ORIGINALS. We’re looking for the next generation of WEBTOON enthusiasts to join us for a 16-week immersive internship where you’ll be working hands on with several of our experienced editors. Students will learn the unique developmental and operational approaches behind each series such as: weekly publication and story structure, the vertical scroll format, genre and audience expectations, and critical readings skills that aid in sourcing and developing new titles. Most importantly, interns will make meaningful contributions to the curation of WEBTOON Original Series in 2025.
Ideal candidates will have some experience developing comics or other visual media through their coursework or independently, be fans and avid consumers of a variety of online content, and have some experience in digital content production.
Candidates must be eager to work with a diverse portfolio of genres and gain day-to-day experience working with creatives. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of current trends on social media and pop-culture.
This position reports to the Senior Managing Editor of the Editorial Team, while working alongside other experienced assistant, associate, and senior level editors. Applications should include the required Pitch Skills Test (template provided).
