Job description

About this opportunity
At betterbusiness, we are a team of pioneers who guide confident service and product decisions. We are providing the best performance-based customer acquisition and lead generation solutions on the market.
We are working with all of the biggest names in the DIY space (website builders, commerce platforms, hosting providers, and more). Additionally, we are one of the leading providers of leads for many impactful topics such as solar energy, heat pumps, and 24-hour care. We help thousands of people every day to make the right decision.

We are currently expanding our lead generation team, and are looking for a new German-speaking team member to help us manage the increased volume of our Campaigns in the SEA team.

What you will be doing:
  • Driving Performance Optimization: Optimize Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and funnel pages to maximize contribution margin through A/B testing across campaigns and funnels.
  • Performance Monitoring and Experimentation: Track key performance indicators daily to ensure campaign success, make data-driven adjustments, and design experiments in Google Ads and on funnel pages to drive results.
  • Proactive Strategy Development: Bring innovative ideas to enhance both campaigns and funnels, independently initiating and running experiments while collaborating with the team for alignment and brainstorming.
  • Streamlining Processes: Leverage tools like Google Ads scripts, ChatGPT automations, or Zapier to enhance efficiency and achieve measurable improvements with minimal effort.
  • Creative and Collaborative Execution: Develop and refine German-language ad assets, share account responsibilities with the team, and act as a back-up when needed.
Who you are:
  • Experienced in SEA campaign management with proven success in optimizing performance using tools like Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Advertising Editor.
  • Data-driven, analytical, and skilled at interpreting performance metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in designing and evaluating campaign experiments, with basic knowledge of A/B testing principles (e.g., statistical significance) for funnel pages and a willingness to learn and make funnel testing a permanent responsibility.
  • Familiar with automation tools (e.g., Zapier) or eager to learn.
  • A problem solver who proactively identifies opportunities and takes initiative.
  • Fluent in German (native level) with strong English communication skills.
  • Passionate about staying current with digital marketing trends and SEA best practices.
Why this role is unique:

Unlike many roles where campaign management and funnel optimization are siloed, this position offers the chance to work holistically across both areas. With tools like Heyflow, you can implement and test changes seamlessly, directly impacting performance. You’ll have the autonomy and resources to optimize the entire conversion journey, making this a rewarding opportunity to drive meaningful results.

This role is fully remote, however you must be based within European timezones. If you are based in Germany, the role offers full employment, otherwise, it’s a full-time contract role.

What we offer:
  • 100% distributed and flexible: make use of your distributed working budget to upgrade your home office, rent a coworking space, or travel. We want you to be able to create your perfect setup for your best work ever!
  • Your favorite hardware: You choose your favorite hardware and OS, and we provide all the equipment you need
  • Agile work environment: In order to work in the most productive way, we use state-of-the-art tools like Slack, Jira, or G Suite and modern project management methods like OKRs or Scrum
  • Personal development budget which you can use towards coaching, training, seminars, and conferences of your choice
  • Great retreats: In order to create beautiful experiences together as a team, we organize betterbusiness retreats several times a year
  • We care for people and the planet: we invest one day per year as a team to support a social or sustainability project; we offset our CO2 emissions. Furthermore, based on our success, we regularly donate money to various organizations
Interview Process:

At betterbusiness, we care a lot about who we hire. In order to create the most impact for our partners, we are building high-performing teams. Our recruitment process for this consists of four stages:
  • Application
  • Initial 15-30 minute conversation with the recruiter
  • 60 minute interview with the hiring manager
  • A 30 minute interview with our CEO
  • Meet the team
  • Decision

betterbusiness embraces diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
