The Role
A 3- month vacancy (February to April 2025) has arisen within the Engineering team for a Senior Angular Developer.
The main responsibility of the role will be to with lead the design, development and implementation of a complex front end development project. This position requires an individual who can operate independently, drive projects to completion and deliver innovative UI solutions that align with Project objectives and organizational goals. The Senior Angular Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor less experienced engineers and ensure the delivery of high-quality software that fulfills the expectations of customers.
The role is ideal for a highly skilled, self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to technological excellence. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead by example, drive best practices and contribute to the strategic direction of the overall Engineering effort. Technically you will have very strong Angular programming experience as core and general knowledge of other JavaScript frameworks.
You will need to be self-sufficient and have the ability to lead and work independently whilst being fully supported by our technical leaders and senior technical experts.
Job Responsibilities
The Angular Software Engineer will be fully integrated with the team and performing testing throughout the project in accordance with the agreed strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead the planning, design, and development of sophisticated software applications. Make critical decisions that define a framework for implementing projects and initiatives.
- Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.
- Be adaptable: Have the ability to pick up new technologies and learn quickly
- Innovation and Problem Solving: Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and software development practices. Tackle complex problems and provide well-engineered solutions.
- Design, write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary, supporting and collaborating with other developers involved in the project
Skills Required
Essential
- Highly proficient at User Interface development using Angular (Knowledge of other JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js and native js may be useful)
- A strong interest in User Experience Design principles
- Ability to build and translate wireframes, build prototypes and iteratively refine user interfaces in partnership with users
- Knowledge of front end integration with RESTful microservices
- Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience of developing responsive, accessible, mobile-first web applications
Security Clearance Requirements
The successful candidate must be eligible to go through a SC level security clearance.
Location
The role will be required onsite in our Horsham offices 1 day a week with the rest of the week remote working.
