About the Role:
As an SEO specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies that drive organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and ultimately contribute to our business growth. You will play a crucial role in shaping our online presence and ensuring our website ranks highly for target keywords. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, creative thinking, and technical SEO knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Competitor Research & GAP Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to identify their SEO strategies, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Perform comprehensive GAP analysis to pinpoint areas where our content is lacking and identify opportunities for content expansion and optimization.
- Utilize SEO tools to analyze competitor backlink profiles, keyword rankings, and content strategies.
Keyword Research & Content Development:
- Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant and high-volume search terms aligned with our business objectives.
- Develop data-driven content strategies and outlines based on keyword research and competitive analysis.
- Create high-quality, SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, articles, landing pages, and other website copy, ensuring adherence to SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with content writers and the brand team to ensure content aligns with SEO goals and brand voice.
Technical SEO:
- Possess a strong understanding of technical SEO principles, including website architecture, crawlability, indexation, site speed, mobile optimization, and schema markup.
- Monitor website performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics, identifying and reporting on technical SEO issues.
- Provide actionable recommendations to development teams to address technical SEO issues and improve website performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest search engine algorithm updates and technical SEO best practices.
Site-Wide SEO Audits:
- Conduct comprehensive site-wide SEO audits to identify areas for improvement across all aspects of SEO (on-page, off-page, and technical).
- Develop detailed audit reports with prioritized recommendations and actionable insights.
- Track and monitor the impact of implemented recommendations on website performance.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic and keyword rankings.
- Utilize SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush) to monitor performance, gather insights, and generate reports.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, providing clear explanations and actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar.
- Strong understanding of content marketing and its relationship to SEO.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for SEO and staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
- Experience working with very large websites with hundreds of thousands of pages.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with the Contentful CMS.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Certifications in SEO or digital marketing.

This role is office based, excluded from our remote working due to business need and nature of the role. Our offices are based in Madrid and London ; it is expected you must be in the office 3 days a week with working from home an option for the rest of the week.
