Web Developer I - Stevens Point, WI.

Overview:

We are seeking a Web Developer I to design and develop applications for the Ortho family of websites and internal platforms, ensuring high technical standards. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to create, maintain, and enhance software solutions. The ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills, and demonstrates initiative and sound judgment.

The position is an on-site role in Stevens Point, Wisconsin - this is not a remote opportunity. 

What to Expect:

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Info Systems, or Business systems preferred) or related field 
• 1-year of experience required using C# .NET and VB .NET
• Write clean, scalable code primarily using .NET and C# programming languages
• Use Sitefinity CMS to architect, development and deploy in a multisite Cloud environment
• Follow Project Management structure to ensure project documents are complete, current, and accessible
• Provide support of external and internal web sites (routine maintenance and forward-looking solutions)
• Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop, and maintain software
• Contribute to a positive work environment by exemplifying good character traits including a positive and supportive attitude.
• Escalation and on-call responsibilities are required as part of this position

What You Will Contribute:

• Proficient in ASP.NET framework, SQL Server (TSQL and Stored Procedures), and design/architectural patterns (i.e., MVC)
• Proficient in programming languages and web development techniques (i.e., HTML, CSS precompiling, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, LINQ)
• Development experiences with web services (i.e., RESTful and SOAP) and ability to learn and utilize vendor APIs for integration with backend systems
• Experience working with Content Management Systems and extending their functionality
• Experience using Git as a version control tool through Visual Studio IDE
• Ability to apply security principles to E-Commerce applications and data privacy regulations
• Ability to understand and apply various project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
