To be considered for this remote opportunity, you must reside and be authorized to work within the United States.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in strategic planning efforts, aiming to enhance key operational metrics such as in-stock levels and inventory turns. Your responsibilities include planning inventory based on supplier capabilities and lead times, creating strategies for different product types based on their importance, velocity, and supply variability. You'll also explore collaboration opportunities with partners to improve the entire supply chain. Working with internal teams and external partners, you'll integrate vital operational data to meet current and future planning needs. Proficiency in developing visualizations, designing dashboards, consolidating data sources, and clearly communicating requirements to partners is essential. Your diverse skill set will be pivotal for success as a valuable team member in this planning analyst role.

This is a remote position that will require travel to partner locations. This position requires travel to all US time zones.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support strategic planning for Resident finished goods, customer service parts, and key materials, focusing on improving operational metrics like in-stock levels, inventory turns, SKU importance and forecast error.
  • Work closely with both integrated and 3rd party partners to track purchase orders and plan inventory needs considering supplier capabilities, lead times, and aiming for optimal stock levels.
  • Develop customized planning strategies for managing inventory across product categories, considering their importance, demand velocity, and supply chain variability.
  • Develop and maintain proper SKU/vendor setup related to replenishment parameters (item lead times, MOQs, container loading quantities, sources, etc.).
  • Manage excess inventory, identify ways to prevent over/underproduction, and recommend actions.
  • Proactively mitigate stock outages and backordered items, providing updates to internal partners such as customer service and sales leads on recovery plans and timing.
  • Work cross-functional to continuously improve and integrate vital operational data for planning needs.
  • Develop and review inventory KPIs regularly, evaluating inventory management opportunities and results.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in visualizing supply chain data for data-driven decision-making.
  • Be the trusted point of contact for key strategic partners and stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution of new launches and planning initiatives.
  • Utilize a diverse skill set to play a key role in ensuring team success and contribute to the effectiveness of the planning analyst role.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business-related field
  • At least 4-6 years of hands-on planning experience and data analysis with a focus on operations.

  • 2+ Years of work experience with planning tools such as NetSuite, Logility or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Big Query, Looker or equivalent.  Ability to leverage big data sets to identify opportunities, develop strategic insights, and create business consumable data assets to drive business decisions.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working with data independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Particularly adept at working with both business and technical stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment
  • Experience with supply chain processes and the associated data needed to support these businesses.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, start-up e-commerce environment with the ability to quickly get up to speed, iterate and take on other projects
