The Create:Code Creations team builds and maintains GitLab's AI-powered code suggestion tools that help developers create and maintain code more efficiently. Our team has successfully launched Code Suggestions, which provides AI-assisted code completions directly in multiple IDEs, and we're now expanding our capabilities to provide even more intelligent assistance through enhanced context awareness and integration across GitLab's product suite.
As a Senior Engineer, you'll work on sophisticated systems that analyze codebases to provide relevant context to large language models, allowing us to generate higher quality code suggestions. You'll help build and scale services that power features from inline code completions to code explanation and test generation, while ensuring our solutions maintain high performance for our global user base.
The Code Creation team is at the forefront of GitLab's AI initiatives, focusing on helping developers create and maintain code more efficiently. We've successfully launched our Code Suggestions feature and are now working on expanding its capabilities through better context awareness and integration across GitLab's product suite. Our team collaborates globally across multiple time zones, working with various groups from IDE Extension teams to AI Framework and ModelOps teams. We maintain a balance between shipping new features and ensuring high performance and reliability for our global user base.
