Principal Contract Manager, Strategic Accounts (German & French)

The Strategic Accounts team at HubSpot sits at the highest-touch end of the Customer Success organization. This team works with our highest paying and Lighthouse customers to help them see extraordinary growth through education, business consulting and delight.

As a Principal Contract Manager at HubSpot, you will be in charge of managing customer contracts, handling customer inquiries and renewals, and focusing on maximizing customer investment. Your responsibilities include negotiating value-driven renewals, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to drive account growth, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the contract renewal process. You will also play a key role in forecasting, contributing to process improvements, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and supporting strategic initiatives within our Contract Management and Customer Success team.

This role can be @office @flex or @home work preferences across Ireland, Germany, France and the UK.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Negotiate value-driven renewals and contract changes while ensuring a superb customer experience.
  • Work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to grow accounts and drive incremental opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives, Customer Success Managers, Management and Legal teams to execute the contract renewal process and ensure a positive experience for the customer.
  • Establish cooperative working relationships with customers.
  • Lead forecasting discussions and pipeline reviews with internal colleagues.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Contract Management Organization by providing feedback and piloting new processes and playbooks.
  • Mentor less experienced Contract Managers to help them learn the ins and outs of the role, best practices, and new skills.
  • Contribute to the strategic evolution of our Contract Management and Customer Success organization by assisting with projects, pilots, and other operational or strategic initiatives.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and consistency
  • Work with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop your understanding of SaaS economics
  • Deliver best in class service to our upmarket customers (200+ employees)
  • Partner with our upmarket customers to understand how best to achieve their goals and solve their challenges

We are looking for people who:

  • Experience in working with Legal teams to manage complex contract specifications
  • Experience working with large organizations (200+ employees)
  • Are passionate about creating a great customer experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to consistently over-perform versus their targets and other primary metrics
  • Consistently make significant contributions beyond the day-to-day of their role through mentorship, participation in initiatives or projects, etc. 
  • Work autonomously and strategically
  • Solve problems with curiosity and creativity
  • Seek to understand multiple perspectives in a situation
  • Have growth driven negotiation skills
  • Show clear communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a phone conversation

  • Have 3-5 years of experience working in contract or renewal management (or in a similar role)
  • Speaks English and German fluently. French fluency is an added bonus.
