Job description

The Office of the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct (OGSCC)is building the inaugural team to shape the organization that will be impacting the grocery sector in Canada.  We are seeking a dynamic, bilingual (English & French) Communications and Member Service Coordinator to define and deliver the support to members in an organization dedicated to fostering fairness, collaboration, and positive change in the grocery sector. 

The ideal candidate will be blending communications, member services, and administrative responsibilities that requires a motivated self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced, virtual work environment. We are open to flexible arrangements, including part-time (e.g., 4 days per week) or other work schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and execute communications strategies to engage and inform stakeholders about the Code of Conduct and its initiatives.

  • Create, manage, and disseminate newsletters, press releases, and other external communications.

  • Oversee the content and functionality of the OGSCC website, ensuring information is accurate, relevant, and user-friendly.

  • Manage the OGSCC’s social media presence, including content creation, posting, and engagement.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for media inquiries, drafting responses in collaboration with the Adjudicator as needed.

Member Services

  • Lead efforts to recruit and onboard new members to the OGSCC, ensuring they understand the benefits and responsibilities of participation.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for members, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.

Administrative Support

  • Manage the Adjudicator’s calendar, scheduling appointments and ensuring efficient time management.

  • Organize and manage meetings of the OGSCC Board of Directors, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.

  • Maintain accurate records of meetings and organizational documents.
