Job description

Job Description:

This position will play a crucial role in reviewing and clearing customers' purchase transactions and ensuring accuracy and integrity. You will be responsible for recording financial transactions and reconciling customer's accounts. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of bookkeeping principles will be essential in this role.

Requirements and responsibilities:

  • Prior experience and familiarity reviewing US consumer purchase receipts and US consumer credit card statements.

  • Ability to perform verification and cross checking with high accuracy, including but not limited to checking:
    • Business name

    • Valid address and address within the participating area/city

    • Valid receipt date

    • Purchase amount

    • Flagging potentially ineligible purchases

    • Flagging duplicate receipts

    • Flagging tampered receipts

    • Flagging forgeries, counterfeits or otherwise suspicious activity

  • Approve consumer purchase requests that pass verification and flag the rest for management review.

  • Clear all outstanding requests on a daily basis

The ideal candidate will also have strengths in the following areas:

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of transactions, data entry, records and reports.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly record-keeping system.

  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and external stakeholders as needed.

  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze receipt data, validity and provide insights for decision-making.

  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.

  • Integrity: Maintain the highest level of ethical standards and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial information.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other relevant software is a plus.

  • Adaptability: We are an early-stage startup building out new capabilities for our customers. Thus it is critical that you are as excited as we are in working on the project with the ability to adapt to changes in software and company needs.

Shift / Hours:

Monday Friday in one single shift, 5:00 PM PST 2:00 AM PST. Note this is +15 or +16 Philippine time, which will be 8:00 AM PHT 5:00 PM in PHT.
