2025 Summer Internship consists of 40 hours/week, 10-12 weeks starting in late May.

 About Clinical Development 

The Tolmar Clinical Development team is responsible for nonclinical and clinical studies conducted in support of Tolmar products, both generic and branded. Members of the team are responsible for strategic and scientific input on future nonclinical and clinical programs, working collaboratively to design, plan, implement, analyze, and report nonclinical and clinical studies with the overarching goal of new product development.

Operationally, the team works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to evaluate new therapeutic targets and/or formulations and to recommend potential new product development opportunities in consideration of nonclinical and clinical studies likely required to achieve regulatory approval.

Proposed Work Description 

The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company/department and therefore the work described below is a sampling of the kinds of work we expect this position to entail:

The position will support Tolmar Research & Development (R&D) by helping evaluate the potential clinical safety and efficacy of proposed pipeline products. This will include summarizing publicly available resources (including scientific literature and regulatory documents) and presenting findings/key conclusions to the broader R&D/product pipeline team. While focused primary on clinical-related contributions, this position will have exposure to efforts related to clinical trial design, regulatory strategies, legal/intellectual property considerations, formulation development and marketing evaluations for new product concepts.

  • Ability to interact collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate scientific concepts to a variety of individuals with varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks demonstrating strong organization and time management skills; to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).

 Education & Experience

  • Pursuing graduate-level degree in a related scientific field (i.e. biology, toxicology, pharmacology).

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Work is performed primarily remotely. Intern must have access to a private, quiet working area during business hours (8 AM-5 PM Mountain Time). 

Compensation and Benefits 

  • Pay: $19.00 per hour
  • Benefits include medical insurance and participation in the 401k plan

    Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
