JOB PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Finance Analyst is responsible for managing the core reporting processes of the European Supply Chain in close cooperation with the Supply Chain FP&A Manager, ensuring a timely and accurate delivery of monthly results as well as forecast information and performance headlines.
The role is interacting with multiple stakeholders within the broader Supply Chain Finance and Supply Chain Financial Services teams to enable the relevant performance discussions. The collaboration with different SC Finance teams is key to align the operational month end procedures as well as share and learn from best practices.
Hence, the candidate is required to develop a deep understanding of Supply Chain processes end-to-end while being able to translate this knowledge into value-focused improvement actions. Strong analytical skills are key to succeed in this role. In addition, the aim is to improve processes in terms of speed, accuracy and simplicity and generating new capabilities to further improve performance management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Based in Amsterdam, the Supply Chain Finance FP&A Analyst Europe is responsible for:
Managing the core reporting processes of the European Supply Chain, including Actuals and Forecast for Ice Cream Europe.
Coordinating information flow between Supply Chain BU Finance and Supply Chain Financial Services teams & holding them accountable for timeliness and quality of information
Continuous improvement of processes and analytical tools to create better insights faster
Drive consolidation of all different functions within SC and ensure full P&L completeness
Full reporting of SC results, comparing to Prior Year, Latest Forecast and Budget and be able to clarify the variations and actions to be taken. You own the actuals and the forecast of SC, together with the FP&A mgr.
Ensure proper clarity is provided in the reporting, always simplifying the message to stakeholders in words and presentations
Pro-actively look for improvements in the process and business opportunities and confidently challenge the business owners
Center of expertise for Supply Chain Finance specific technical concepts and systems
Provide expertise and support in Supply Chain Finance projects
The SC FP&A Analyst will interface with the following key stakeholders:
FP&A Manager and SC FP&A Manager (line manager).
Ice Cream EE SC Finance manager and within the larger team of the EU SC Finance Director
SC Financial Services team based in Katowice, Poland
BU SC Finance & SC FP&A Teams in Europe
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and interested to dive into details while being able to zoom-out to see the big picture.
Reporting fundamentals: knowledge/experience in financial analytics, reporting and forecasting with large data sets. Has experience with month end processes.
A natural passion for understanding processes end-to-end and scrutinizing business results. Is biased towards actions that have the most tangible and significant impact to the business.
Excel skills a must and experience with reporting systems in large businesses is a plus.
Relevant experience with GMVA/Cost Contribution and Supply Chain Finance is a plus.
Rapidly absorbs new information, knowledge and applies new techniques and procedures.
Hands-on mentality to ensure things get done and holding self & others accountable
Communication skills: able to present effectively and to translate technical results into business insights.
Networking skills: able to work remotely with numerous stakeholders and to develop with them collaborative relationships.
