As part of an interdisciplinary team, this position is responsible for identifying and addressing a client’s psychological barriers to return to work and/or provide empirically supported psychological interventions to clients to help assist with the return to work process. We are currently seeking individuals with a clinical, counselling or rehabilitation psychology background and experience.
Your responsibilities:
Delivering psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team to injured workers suffering from acute pain, chronic pain, traumatic injuries and/or brain injuries.
Completing psychological assessments and counselling treatment to enhance our clients’ abilities to return to work.
Facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic process groups to reduce the impact of disability related issues.
Supervising Ph.D residents (connected to a CPA accredited residency consortium), provisional psychologists and mentoring undergraduate psychology interns.
Assisting with program development as required.
Collaborating with psychology peers to ensure best practice as required.
Consulting with treatment teams and other relevant stakeholders (eg. case managers) to assist with client treatment and recovery.
You would be required to work on special needs teams such as Complex, Traumatic Psychological Injury or Brain Injury as part of your continued development and to support ongoing business needs.
Your experience and skills:
Completion of a Ph.D. in Psychology.
Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Completion of an internship from a Canadian Psychological Association accredited facility or equivalent.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed 1,600 hours of supervised practice and who have completed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP’s).
Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting involving the assessment and treatment of a variety of disorders and experience providing psychological services and experience in the treatment of clients with physical and/or chronic pain is preferred.
Research and psychological consultant experience is an asset.

Salary: Grade H7 - $8,124.61 to $10,572.48 per month
