Summary of Job Duties:
The Research Assistant I, will order supplies and reagents for the general use of all members of the laboratory, assist with routine and complex experiments for sponsored research projects, assist with compiling and analyzing data generated, and maintain laboratory equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field plus three (3) years of related professional lab research experience

Responsibilities:
- Monitor inventory for general laboratory use and order laboratory supplies, carry out assigned duties for ordering, maintaining supply of inventory. Track purchase orders and invoices.
- Assist with experiments under the direction of the PI, using physiological, biochemical, and histological techniques.
- Performs routine laboratory maintenance including laboratory glassware washing, reagent and buffer preparations and laboratory restocking and cleaning. Operate, calibrate and perform routine maintenance on specialized equipment used in the laboratory. Maintain laboratory compliance with animal, biological, chemical, and radiation regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of research protocols utilizing chronic animal models of disease.
- Other duties as assigned.
