Job Description:

Coordinates the credentialing and onboarding of physicians and advanced practice providers for professional staff membership and hospital privileges. Provides administrative support for medical staff functions including credentialing applications and files. Serves as a resource for regulatory requirements.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the processes for review of physician and advanced practice provider applications for professional staff initial appointment and renewal of membership and hospital privileges.
    • Coordinates the processing of applications for medical staff review.
    • Communicates status of applicants in credentialing review process.
    • Maintains electronic credentialing application files and reports.
    • Assists new providers with onboarding.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years experience in medical staff services or medical credentialing
  • 2 to 5 years experience in electronic medical credentialing systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree in Health Care or
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care


Licenses/Certifications

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) preferred or
  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) preferred

Pay Range

Pay Range: $24.08 to $33.00 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
