Job description

Our client, a global leader in the pure maple syrup industry, specializing in premium, value-added maple products for a wide range of markets is seeking an International Sales Representative to drive global sales growth, expand market presence, and grow key accounts. Reporting to the President, this role offers a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned B2B sales leader in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new international markets and achieve sales growth targets.
  • Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with key international distributors, retailers, and customers.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand local customer needs and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create tailored marketing strategies for international markets.
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits of our products.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with international clients to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare regular reports for senior management on international sales activities and market conditions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events internationally.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies when entering new markets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an International Sales Representative or similar role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Excellent understanding of international markets and cultural nuances related to sales practices.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong orientation towards results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
