Looking for an opportunity where success comes naturally? Then you may have found your crew. We’re looking for an Estimator to join our growing sports construction team.

Here’s what you’d do:

BrightView Landscape Development is seeking an estimator with 3-5 years of relevant experience in natural turf, synthetic turf and track & field construction. The role will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates in responses to public and private solicitations. The role will interact with our management, business development and operations team as well as external architects, engineers, owners, suppliers and subcontractors. Responsibilities for this position and required skills include:

You’d be responsible for:

Attending pre-bid and site visits as required.
Reviewing all project documentation including Bid Solicitations, Requests for Proposals, Geotechnical reports, Plans and Specifications.
Completing quantity take-offs for self-performed & subcontracted scopes of work.
Soliciting & evaluating bids from suppliers & subcontractors.
Assembling project estimates in accordance with all documents & specifications.
Providing innovative solutions to complex issues as they arise related to cost, lead-times, subcontractor, and/or specified products or materials
Preparing detailed estimates and as the design evolves, develop variance summaries between estimates and value engineering studies.
Ability to assemble a complete presentation-worthy estimate package that clearly communicates project cost.
Creating codebooks, libraries and project estimates in HCSS Heavy Bid

You might be a good fit if you have:

Experience preparing both conceptual and detailed self-performed cost estimates from construction plans of various levels of completion.
1-3 years of industry experience of estimating athletic field or site work projects.
Ability to identify, adapt to, and resolve complex issues.
Civil construction knowledge (grading, drainage, concrete, and asphalt) and athletic field experience (fencing, natural turf, synthetic turf, and track & field)
Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office, HCSS HeavyBid (or similar) and On-Screen Takeoff (or similar).
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
