Job description

We are a growth stage company that creates software solutions combining lean principles, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and machine learning to transform hospital and infusion center operations. More than 190 health systems and over 1,200 hospitals and centers across 49 states rely on our award-winning products and expert change management services to increase patient access, decrease wait times, and reduce healthcare delivery costs. We have raised more than $300 million from top-tier investors such as Bain Capital, Insight Partners, and Goldman Sachs. We have been named among the top 100 AI companies in the world.

Please note that while this role is listed as available for remote, we are currently employing in the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV. If your state is not listed, we may not be able to proceed with your application. We have offices in Santa Clara, CA and Charlotte, NC for employees who prefer to work regularly or occasionally from an office.

At LeanTaaS, the Product Design team plays a critical role in delivering impactful solutions by collaborating closely with product and engineering partners. Together, we shape the product vision, conduct user research, create concepts and prototypes, and deliver polished, development-ready designs in Figma.  Our team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Product Designer to join us. You will contribute to the research and design efforts for our highly successful iQueue for Infusion Centers product. This is a role best suited for a skilled generalist, someone who is interested in the whole product lifecycle from discovery to development to launch and beyond.

The Hiring Process: Every application is reviewed by the design team. You don’t need a cover letter, just a resume chock full of experience and/or a portfolio that shows what you’re capable of. Qualified applicants will get a call from a senior-level designer or manager to talk about product design and learn a bit about our company and our team. 3-4 people will be selected to meet the design team, and 1-2 will proceed to the final step of meeting the engineering and PM leads of the Infusion product. From start to finish, our hiring process is designed to provide you the opportunity to learn about our company, our team, and our culture to help you figure out if LeanTaaS is right for you.

We don’t expect anyone to be a 10/10 in the following areas, but you’ll be doing a bit of each throughout the phases of the initiatives you’ll be working on. We expect some specialization to occur as the company and the team scale, and the product teams will continue to operate as scrappy startups within a startup (and we love this).

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Interaction Design: Create user flows, sketches, diagrams, and high-level concepts to drive conversations with stakeholders and customers.
  • Research: Independently moderate or observe usability tests, conduct user interviews, deploy surveys, and use analytics software. Analyze research data, synthesize insights, and propose solutions based on data and insights.
  • Design System: Contribute frequently to the Figma design library. Help maintain Figma library, review contributions, and manage releases. Moderate discussions between design and front-end engineering regarding the design system (design + code components).
  • Transparency: Actively keep cross-functional team members up-to-date on design decisions and progress of initiatives.
  • Communication/Collaboration: Communicate clearly and drive collaboration between cross-functional team members.

  • WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Information Architecture: Ability to organize complex information into clearly structured navigation systems and content hierarchies.
  • Visual Design: Deep knowledge and application of visual design concepts. Can speak to and debate contemporary design trends. Introduce and moderate discussion of visual design topics.
  • Growth: Demonstrate clear/measurable professional improvement YoY.
  • Empathy: Demonstrate highest level of empathy for users, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong Opinions, Weakly Held: Demonstrate highest aptitude to make choices, move forward, but adjust quickly as new data comes to light.

  • WHAT YOU'LL GET
  • Intellectual and emotional satisfaction of solving tough operational problems in healthcare while improving patient access and saving lives!
  • Competitive compensation package that includes base salary, target bonus, and stock options
  • 401(k) Match
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits
  • Generous Paid Time Off and Parental Leave
  • Monthly reimbursement for Skill Building
  • Monthly reimbursement for Wellness, Transportation, and/or Home Office
  • Education Reimbursement for select courses/programs
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
