We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Business Development to lead growth within our Healthcare vertical, specifically focused on selling services that address data and technology challenges faced by healthcare companies. This pivotal role emphasizes positioning Bounteous as a strategic partner to clients undergoing business transformation enabled by technology modernization and innovation. 
 
As a sales leader, the Vice President (VP) will identify, qualify, develop, and close opportunities with both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will leverage a proven track record of prospecting, nurturing relationships, and closing multi-year engagements while fostering trust and long-term partnerships. 

The VP must demonstrate strong executive influence, consultative business development skills, and expertise in technology-driven digital transformation, with a focus on creating measurable value for clients and articulating Bounteous’ unique positioning in addressing healthcare technology and data challenges. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience from a technology consultancy and/or digital engineering firm, with a focus on U.S. healthcare clients in sectors such as payer/provider, retail health, and/or B2B health technology.  
 
This role requires an ability to shape technology and data strategies, cultivate business opportunities, craft powerful stories detailing how Bounteous has delivered transformative technology to its existing healthcare customers, and deliver impactful results that drive financial success. 

Role and Responsibilities
  • Directly qualify, develop, and close deals that drive $5MM calendar year ‘New Business’ revenue with $10-15MM in Total Contract Value over two to three years 
  • Utilize strong network of industry connections and contacts to identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities 
  • Develop and sell global solutions that leverage APAC and North America-based teams 
  • Design and implement a structured approach to effectively research and qualify new prospects; execute a disciplined outreach strategy 
  • Develop go-to-market plans, with an emphasis on shaping marketing plans, prospecting efforts, and service offerings to address critical client needs within our ideal customer profile, ultimately leading to multi-year, strategic engagements 
  • Qualify and nurture opportunities at every stage of the business development funnel: initial engagement, needs assessment, opportunity framing, qualification, proposal creation, contract negotiations, close 
  • Support sales revenue forecasting, resource/staffing forecasting, and annual budgeting processes 
  • Navigate power structures of client and target organizations to identify and build connections with key decision-makers and uncover business opportunities 
  • Understand customer business challenges and articulate how Bounteous has helped other healthcare customers best utilize technology to address similar needs 
  • Understand healthcare organizations' data privacy and security requirements, and how industry trends influence client sentiment toward service partnerships 
  • Lead the process of solutioning customer needs in partnership with solution and competency leads to develop differentiated win strategies, strategic vision, and Bounteous’ value proposition as a leader in healthcare technology solutions 
  • Deliver inspirational, winning proposals and presentations that articulate and demonstrate our value and unique position to envision and build robust digital experiences 

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience successfully closing strategic deals worth $3MM+ in annual revenue for a systems integrator, technology provider, or digital consultancy 
  • 5+ years of experience establishing, developing, and maintaining relationships with executive-level (VP, SVP, C-suite) IT and technology leaders in the U.S. healthcare industry 
  • 3+ years of proven success selling global solutions in collaboration with international teams 
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, industry challenges, and business trends, including experience working with payers, providers, retail health customers, and B2B health tech 
  • Demonstrable expertise within the U.S. healthcare industry in technology consulting, digital transformation, cloud modernization, product engineering, Data/AI, and/or enterprise technology solutions 
  • Familiarity with leading cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Snowflake, and Azure, as well as marketing technology and platforms like Adobe, Salesforce, and other core healthcare technologies 
  • Outstanding presence, presentation, and negotiation skills; the ability to inspire, engage, partner with, and influence executive-level leadership 
  • Exceptional written communication skills: the ability to craft persuasive and polished proposal copy and written communications 
  • Strong listening skills: a keen ability to listen for client pain points and unspoken objections, ultimately developing insights into win strategies 
  • Excellent organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks 
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
