Job Summary:
The Product Design Manager will be responsible for the concepts and design of tours in assigned area (Western USA & Canada). The incumbent will develop and maintain deep knowledge of travel trends and customer travel expectations, particularly in the guided travel market. The Product Design Manager will be creative and ensure differentiated immersion experiences. Through mastery of their skills, the incumbent will ensure the highest level of quality and brand standards are adhered to at all times.
Job Functions:
• Responsible for all itinerary inclusions according to Brand Standards including tour flow, daily time log, inclusions, choice on tour, dine around experiences, hidden wows, meet the local and impact moment (for Explorations).
• Diligently research new in-destination experiences, identifying potential new suppliers and opportunities that will enhance our tour offerings and delight our travelers.
• Under the direction of the Senior Tour Design Manager, collaborate with Marketing Team, Creative and Channel, on new tour launches, as well as new concept campaigns.
• Regularly review the product dashboard and guest surveys to identify top issues based on traveler feedback prioritizing resolution based on highest impact to overall excellence and renewal.
• Work with key partners – Product Operations Manager, Top Tour Managers and Buyer to action top quality issues. Lead and manage monthly excellence meetings to reach yearly product goals.
• Partner with regional teams – top tour manager, product specialist, buyer, and product operations manager to develop and vet ideas, concepts and logistics.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team on all channel communication and activities, this is for both external and internal communications.
• Partner with the learning team to develop internal resources for sales and customer care associates in support of revenue and excellence product goals.
• Timely completion of internal procedures to drive yearly product launches.
• Ability and willingness to conduct regular phone calls to past travelers, in all brands and channels, to understand expectations, challenges and future of product and guest expectations.
• Partner with product buyer and inventory team to determine number of desired dates for each product following booking trends and market trends with the goal to meet revenue goals and successful vendor relationships.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, travel & tourism, or related field preferred
• Passion for traveler and customer experience
• Strong sense of ownership of all components of development and maintenance of product excellence for assigned regions.
• Strong organizational skills to deliver excellent quality product following set timelines
• Strong communicator willing to innovate and challenge the status quo
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal and external teams
• Minimum Experience – 3+ Years
• Must be available to travel approximately 60 days per year.
Pay range: $60,000 - $90,000
