Location: Remote

The Opportunity     

Our Mom and Baby Billing department specializes in providing maternity related medical equipment billed through insurance. You will be responsible for assisting our patients with any billing related issue or question through incoming phone calls or emails.

 

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Resolve any billing discrepancies related to patient billing
  • Solve problems and find innovative solutions
  • Take patient payments and set up payment plans
  • Make and receive phone calls with a professional demeanor
  • Respond to incoming emails from patients or other representatives
  • Collaborate with other Customer Experience representatives and Billing Specialists
  • Monitor incoming patient communication to identify trends and discuss findings with the potential of reporting up to management
  • Provide a personalized service depending on the patient need
  • Organize and keep relevant notes from interactions with patients
  • Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. 
  • Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance 
  • Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned

We are looking for bright, ambitious go-getters who are not afraid to go all in to contribute to meeting (and exceeding) team and personal goals. Background in or knowledge of health insurance is a plus - but more important is self-motivation and a willingness to accept coaching. We need dynamic people who possess the following:

  • Exceptional verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.

  • Microsoft office computer skills and comfort with technology
  • Adaptable and has a willingness to Learn
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a dynamic team
  • Proven work history illustrating stability and reliability with strong work ethic

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of customer service experience required
  • Medical Billing experience is preferred but not required
