Position Title: Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN (PC)

Job Overview

In response to the urgent healthcare needs of the communities we serve, we are excited to offer a \(1500 sign-on bonus for Medical Assistants and an additional \)2500 for Nurses. We are committed to delivering quality and compassionate care, and we invite you to become part of our dedicated team!

As a Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN, you will play a vital role in our person-centered integrated care team, fostering strong relationships with patients, their representatives, and medical staff. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality, service, and satisfaction while supporting our practitioners in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking histories and vital signs, and documenting in patient charts.
  • Organize and equip examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Conduct venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other procedures as directed.
  • Administer immunizations and injections.
  • Process patient prescriptions and document appropriately.
  • Provide health education and instruction to patients.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist medical staff during minor surgeries and physical examinations.
  • Schedule tests and treatments as required.
  • Screen telephone inquiries and relay communications accurately.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain meticulous records.
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations, including CLIA and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and reorder as necessary.
  • Participate in required training sessions and uphold professional ethical standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet clinic needs.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical office procedures, terminology, and equipment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Practical Nursing certificate required for Nurse LPN candidates.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience required unless a medical assistant certification is obtained.
  • Preferred: At least two (2) years of medical office experience.
