Job description

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Network Engineer for the Global BIT Infrastructure team. The infrastructure team’s mission is managing business-critical global networks and applications at scale. We are supporting internal tools & systems that everybody at OLX is using.

What we are looking for:
 
We are looking for a Network engineer who will work within a globally dispersed team, responsible for maintaining and building our global corporate network in 10 countries that OLX is present in. Our long term vision is to embrace cloud networking capability and network infrastructure automation. We are open to any seniority & experience to consider. 

Your job will consist of:
  • Management of LAN / WAN infrastructure
  • Security management of IT services and systems
  • Identification and troubleshooting of network problems (eg. WiFI, VPN)
  • Network monitoring, identification of potential threats, analysis and response to incidents
  • Participation in the change management process in the network infrastructure and applications, analysis of the impact of changes on the level of security
  • Managing and maintaining security compliance standards across all network devices and tools
  • Document and support ongoing projects 
  • Participation in on-call rotation (on-call duty)

    • What we expect from you:
  • A network engineering experience with enterprise office network setup
  • Working experience with Meraki and Cisco stack
  • Experience in the administration of network/security systems based on Network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, APs) and IPAM (Netbox)
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS networking capabilities is desirable
  • You are a great teammate who is hardworking, learns quickly, and thrives in a collaborative, Agile environment
  • You love to solve problems at scale and have experience creating a robust mixed environment with a seamless experience for our end-users and support teams.
  • Understanding of source code repositories and CI/CD tools like Gitlab CI/CD or GitHub Actions or Jenkins is desirable
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Salt, and/or Chef is a plus
  • Knowledge of English at a level that allows free conversation
