We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal advice and support to our business units, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of the IT industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of issues, including contracts, intellectual property, data privacy, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including software licensing, service agreements, and partnership contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration, in coordination with external counsel.
  • Stay current with industry trends and legal developments, ensuring the company’s practices remain compliant and competitive.
  • Work closely with the Corporate legal team to align business objectives
  • Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to support business objectives and mitigate risks
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics relevant to the IT industry.
  • This is a remote position within the United States.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in at least one US state.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of legal experience, with a focus on IT/software and services including SaaS and cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, data privacy, and employment law.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex legal matters and negotiations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in-house at a technology company.
  • Familiarity with international legal issues and cross-border transactions.
  • Certification in privacy law (e.g., CIPP/US).
