Your day-to-day

  • Create Compelling Content: Develop engaging, high-quality content for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, marketing materials, infographics, and video scripts, ensuring alignment with Ciena's brand guidelines and tone of voice.

  • Collaborate Strategically: Partner with internal stakeholders, including HR teams, hiring managers, and marketing professionals, to understand talent attraction needs and deliver targeted, effective marketing campaigns.

  • Optimize for Impact: Conduct keyword research and optimize content for specific target audiences, SEO, and other distribution platforms. Use analytics tools to track performance, measure engagement, and inform future strategies.

  • Manage Content Assets: Maintain a well-organized content library or CMS for easy access and retrieval, and coordinate with partner agencies or freelancers for content creation, editing, and other production needs.

  • Test and Improve: Execute A/B testing on content strategies, leveraging insights and data to enhance content effectiveness and refine promotional strategies.

  • Plan and Strategize: Assist the Recruitment Marketing Manager in planning and executing innovative marketing initiatives to elevate Ciena’s employer brand and attract diverse, top-tier talent.

What we need from you

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in content creation, copywriting, or a related role, preferably within talent attraction, employer branding, or digital marketing.

  • Writing Mastery: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an ability to craft compelling narratives tailored to various audiences and platforms.

  • Digital Fluency: Proficiency in managing content across social media platforms and familiarity with content promotion strategies, SEO, and analytics tools.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a sharp eye for accuracy and brand alignment.

  • Preferred Skills: Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or video editing software. Familiarity with recruitment marketing platforms, such as LinkedIn Recruiter & Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) best practices in content creation.
