Our CX department is currently seeking enthusiastic and customer-obsessed students to participate in our summer internship program. The ideal candidate is an empathetic story-teller who is comfortable working in a team, is a self-starter and is eager to learn.
As an intern at CHG, you’ll work side-by-side with top Customer Experience (CX) professionals in the healthcare staffing industry. You’ll be embedded with a team of researchers, designers, product managers and cross-functional partners across the organization and be tasked with helping to grow the practice of Journey Management at CHG.
This is an opportunity to be hands-on developing skills and expertise in both the growing field of Journey Management as well as within the broader Customer Experience (CX) industry. You will have the opportunity to work closely with both user research and product teams to help bring our customer needs to life in detailed customer journeys, with the goal of creating experiences that improve the lives of our customers and business partners. You will also create powerful story-telling artifacts (such as videos and presentations) to help our stakeholders to truly see the world through the eyes of our customers.
You will be assigned a mentor who will be available for questions and guidance in completing assigned projects.
The CHG User Experience Research internship is currently scheduled for 12 weeks, full-time; however, it could be extended depending on business need.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Journey Management in the creation of critical Journey Management artifacts, such us detailed Journey Maps, explainer videos and training materials
- Use a subset of quantitative research (surveys) to generate hypotheses for CHG might improve the customer experience across our complex business structure
- Work closely with internal business partners (such as User Research, Product, etc.) to ensure our journey maps are as up-to-date as possible
- Communicate verbal, written and visual insights to internal stakeholders to enable better decision-making for the cross-functional team
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skills collaborating with others
- An interest in creating wonderful customer experiences
- Strong presentation and story-telling skills
- Learner and Growth mindsets
- Experience building/maintaining customer journey maps a plus (though not mandatory)
Education & Years of Experience:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (graduating in 2025 or 2026) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Liberal Arts, Psychology or similar.
- Relevant work experience with User Experience, User Research, Product Management or similar fields desired
Preferred:
- Experience with Figma and/or Miro
- Experience with Qualtrics a plus
- Experience with TheyDo a plus
- Experience with video editing software a plus
We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay of $20.00/hour
CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
