We are currently searching a Tax Analyst (m/f/d) to join our Self Custody Operations department at State Street Bank International GmbH in Munich. This position is available immediately.


This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As a Tax Analyst you will

  • Oversee general day-to-day tax operations, actively participating in the monthly tax declaration process.

  • Perform the monthly tax declaration in Germany.

  • Maintain highly automated systems for administrating Tax Reclaims and work directly with the German Tax Authority.

  • Manage proof of taxations for clients in general for tax reclaims.

  • Ensure the digital reclaims are submitted accurately to the German Tax Authority.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the German Tax Authority, updating Global Teams on rejected reclaims and any issues encountered.

Special Responsibilities

  • Shape and enhance processes based on the current regulations and work on introduction of new technologies.

  • Work out own regulated End User Developed Tools and work on initiatives to shape our business using the latest technological infrastructure. Transform your tools in functional components within our enterprise infrastructure.

  • Use your academic knowledge to introduce quantitative tests to ensure large scale controls.

  • Connect yourself globally and build an internal network to stay up to date with latest activities and market changes.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik, Informatic, Economics, Finance, Taxation or similar education.

  • Theoretical knowledge of Banking and Fund industry.

  • Comprehensive academic statistical and mathematical skills

  • Theoretical proven programming skills in Python and SQL Databases.

  • Demonstrated communication skills and service orientation.

  • Proficient in English and German language mandatory for the role.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate with the team effectively.

  • Strong sense of quality and commitment to interact with internal or external clients effectively and professionally.

Additional requirements

  • Willingness to learn Cloud infrastructure AWS and Azure.

  • Theoretical proven programming skills in Java, C#, C+ and SQL Databases.

  • Interest and understanding of AI development and professional secure usage.
