Position Description:

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Planning Systems Manager to join the LNA Corporate Team. This is a remote position reporting to West Hartford, CT. The Planning Systems Manager will work with all company (“LNCA”) businesses and sites to improve the Customer Service Fill Rate level while managing appropriate levels of inventory through improved planning. Planning processes include SIOP, Forecasting, Direct Procurement, and Production Scheduling. Improvements include standardizing best practice processes and methodologies like those in our company’s Legrand Way methodology, Lean Principles, APICS, and DDMRP as well as deploying standard best practice tools adopted by the company including SAP and Anaplan.
What Will You Do?
- Work with company’s sites and businesses to understand the maturity of their current planning processes.
- Train, coach and mentor teams on best practice processes and the value of the planning process to them.
- Work with sites and businesses to prioritize and develop plans to drive changes in their planning processes.
- Work and coach teams to execute improvements.
- Identify synergies across the different businesses and sites to assist implementing improvements faster and more cost effective.
- Be the subject matter expert for LNCA on DDMRP and Anaplan.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.
- APICS certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the planning an inventory solutions in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of Supply Chain processes such as SIOP, MRP, Forecasting, NPI/EOL management, Demand and Supply Planning, Direct Procurement, Materials Management, Capacity Management, and Shop Floor Scheduling.
- Use of various software and computer applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and a planning solution such as Anaplan or any other DDMRP application.
- Strong process / system background and proven ability to rapidly understand, use and drive improvements in new processes/systems.
- Lean Practitioner with solid problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate self and others; easily accepts constructive input from others.
- Lead end-to-end process / technology projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with organizational need.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Capable to drive results working cross functionally and across the divisions, influencing others at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated relationship building, teamwork and collaboration at all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable in presenting to all levels of the organization including Senior Executives and advise them on strategic decisions.
- Strong business acumen.
- Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize and accomplish a diversified workload.
- Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment. Promotes an environment that is encourages cohesiveness and fosters trust and open communication with team, peers and all business partners.
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions. Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
