Overview:

Join FedWriters as a Media Specialist for the US Department of Transportation, where you'll utilize your expertise in media production and videography to capture and deliver compelling visuals, shaping the narrative of critical transportation projects along the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway. Work Schedule and Location:

Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8AM ET to 5PM ET with travel to the Great Lakes for filming and photography. 

Responsibilities:
  • Controlling video consoles, cameras, and other equipment
  • Capturing footage for television, promotions, advertising, and other distributions
  • Regulating transmission of test patterns, color, and black-and-white telecasts
  • Conducting video and photo shoots based on instructions and creative directions
  • Photographing locations, events, and subjects for use in GLS materials
  • Traveling to assigned locations for on-site photography and videography
  • Developing negatives, printing film, and editing media using production software
  • Delivering media assets that align to brand
Qualifications:

Required: 

  • High school diploma
  • 5+ years of relevant media specialist experience

 

 

Desired: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Formal training in media production, videography, photography, or related fields
  • Advanced skills in operating cameras, lighting, audio, and other production equipment
  • Knowledge of photography best practices and techniques
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and camera settings optimization
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar media editing tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams and technical crews
  • Sharp eye for capturing high quality footage and visuals
  • Attention to detail in following production requirements

Pay Range (Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors): $ 61,000.00 - $ 72,800.00 /Yr.
