The role

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the software delivery of a dedicated team, driving both business and engineering outcomes. You will address common team challenges while coaching and fostering the growth of individual team members. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product managers and designers, to deliver high-quality engineering results.

Where you’ll work

This position requires residence in Poland. You will have the flexibility to work remotely or from our Warsaw office - the choice is yours.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and developing a team of 7+ Software Engineers, including managing career paths, fostering team growth, and conducting regular 1:1s.

  • Driving the product development lifecycle from idea generation to delivery, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and QA Engineers.

  • Leading all Scrum-related ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure effective collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Guiding the team through the transition from monolithic to microservices architecture, while nurturing skill development and fostering a positive mindset toward change.

  • Engaging cross-functionally to understand dependencies, set priorities, and identify opportunities for simplification.

  • Advocating for operational excellence through automation, tooling, and monitoring/alerting to support a continuous improvement methodology.

What you’ll need

  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer and 2+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager or similar technical leadership role, including leading remote teams.

  • Strong ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies, frequent changes, and ambiguous environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of systems architecture and design.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, and a strong preference for working in an Agile environment.

  • Proficiency in organizing and coordinating engineers to collaborate on technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
