Role Summary
Splunk's Growth Engineering team is a group of dynamic, outstanding & dedicated individuals responsible for implementing multiple technology stacks with AEM as a centralized content management system for Splunk’s web properties. The team is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern who will support specific automation testing initiatives for our web application. This role requires close interaction with various scrum teams to plan and deliver goals. The ideal candidate should have knowledge on Test automation, CMS implementations and nurture habits of continuous innovation.

What you'll get to do
  • Gain hands-on experience with AI-powered visual automation tools and automate API validation for full functionality.
  • Use Generative AI tools to optimize test automation processes, generate new test cases, and improve the efficiency of testing efforts.
  • Understand how analytics data is gathered on the website, and use AI tools to build and improve custom frameworks for regression testing.
  • Run automation tests, generate reports, and use GenAI tools to analyze the test results and suggest improvements.
Work with the team for mentorship, particularly in the application of AI-powered tools for testing and optimization
Must-have Qualifications
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Software Engineering or a related technical field, and a strong record of academic achievement.
  • At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship.
  • Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks
Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Understanding of API endpoints and their function.
  • Exposure to analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as testRigor or Applitools.
  • Familiar with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and JSON.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Monday, May 19, 2025 - Friday, August 8, 2025
  • Monday, June 2, 2025 - Friday, August 22, 2025
  • Monday, June 16, 2025 - Friday, September 5, 2025

Base Pay is based on a candidate completing 3 years of university or the academic equivalent

Base Pay

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay: $50 per hour

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay: $45 per hour

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay: $42 per hour

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills, year in school and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits.
