Position at eXp South Africa

We are one of the first all-remote companies with 2,000+ team members utilizing our virtual office called eXp world. This role is work-from-anywhere in South Africa.
Fully remote and Part time, 20 hours per week from South Africa:
Monday through Friday, USA business hours: Local working hours vary between 15h00 - 19h00 South Africa Standard Time and 16h00 - 20h00 South Africa Standard Time)
This is a 6 months part time contract with potential to renew upon mutual agreement. The total base pay for this position starts at ZAR 10,000/month in our lowest geographic cost of living market up to ZAR 12,500/month in our highest geographic cost of living market and is dependent upon many factors such as location, experience, skills, and training.

What you will do: 
The Cash Application Associate is responsible for recording payments in appropriate accounts, identifying and resolving payment discrepancies and answering customer inquiries as needed. The Associate will be focused on data entry into the company’s accounting system. This is a full-time position remote position and incumbent must be able to work independently with accuracy.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Record bank deposits into the company’s accounting system and upload related transaction documents to Enterprise and cash schedules 
  • Processing of payment and adjustment entries related to Accounts Receivable
  • Conducts research on payment remittance and research payments received into the accounting system. 
  • Initiate and independently research complex information through compilation of statistics, analyzing data and summarizing for review 
  • Identifies and seeks to continuously exceed the service requirements of the business units by building and managing relationships with contacts 
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (emphasis in accounting or finance)
Experience, Skills & Abilities:
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting cash applications processing 
  • Experience with basic accounting systems. 
  • Excellent with numbers and calculations. 
  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel preferred 
  • Steady work history and willingness and ability to work independently from home
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Zoho ticketing software strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to de-escalate problem situations and turn them into positive experiences. 
  • Ability to interact with all members of a team to improve service offering
  • Ability to create a method for maintaining personal work queue. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents and entering data is required. 
  • Work independently and resolve problems in a timely manner. 
  • Professional telephone skills and strong interpersonal skills.
