Description

The Corporate Finance Analyst supports the corporate financial planning and analysis function by collaborating with the project finance team to gather project-level financial details, enhances the financial systems capabilities and the BI tools to increase project financial visibility to all internal stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of corporate finance duties as described below.


RESPONSABILITIES

More specifically, the Corporate Finance Analyst must:


Month-End Deliveries, and Core FP&A Deliverables

  • Month-End Deck: support the Director of FP&A in successful and on-time delivery of management deck that highlights monthly financial results. As well, obtain and summarize in a concise manner that highlights key business performance indicators (i.e., backlog analysis, market research).
  • Lead variance reporting analyses for all profit centers / cost centers of Innovaderm. Lead the generation and analysis of cost spend patterns, identify root cause of such deviations, and develop and maintain action plans to correct course for meeting budget/forecast and/or promote financial stewardship by way of recurring monthly meetings with business unit leaders.
  • Other business insights such as ETC/EAC review, HPI analysis to be lead by the corporate finance analyst under the guidance of Lead, PFA and Director of FP&A.
  • Support Director of FP&A as it pertains to successful and on-time delivery of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets. Participate and contribute to creation of clear timelines, consolidation of data, and preparation of presentation decks.
  • Perform other financial health checks as required under the guidance of Director, FP&A.


Technological Tools and Maintenance/Enhancements of Reports

  • Responsible for creating new Power BI (PBI) reports and its related maintenance. Perform regular data checks to ensure the reports are accurate and conform to the access rules.
  • Responsible for enhancements under the guidance of Director, FP&A and always seek to continuously improve the reporting structure via Power BI.
  • Work directly with the BI Team and ensure best practices are implemented.
  • Work with external consultants (as required) as it pertains to troubleshooting errors and provide solutions to remediate technical glitches/challenges.


Business Partnership

  • Work with the operations group (project management team, and clinical operations team) and facilitate information exchange meetings to ensure frequent communications support each other’s workflow, and eliminate inaccuracies within project details and financials.
  • Work with the project finance analysts (PFA) and gather macro-level information on the current financial health of the projects. Perform analysis at the top-level and advise PFAs on remedial actions to obtain answers from the stakeholders.
  • Work with the BI team to optimize data presentation structure, reporting mechanisms, and workflows/access rules to ensure all internal stakeholders are given proper visibility to project(s) and other metrics as needed.


Ad-hoc and Special Projects

  • Ad-hoc reporting and analyses as it relates to evaluating the status-quo of the business and creating a forward-looking statements.
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Director as needed.

Requirements

PROFILE


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant experience 
  • CPA designation is an asset but not required.



Experience

  • 5 years of experience in project accounting preferred, but not required


Knowledge and skills

  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Professional judgment and proven interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of the tools of the Microsoft Office suite, prior Power BI knowledge and experience will be of an asset
  • Comfortable working in an environment in constant evolution
  • Good knowledge of good clinical practices, and applicable Health Canada and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations/guidelines.

Work location 



The successful candidate for this position is given to work remotely anywhere in Poland.


Employees located outside of North America are expected to have some flexibility in their working hours to accommodate team or client meetings as needed. All efforts will be made by Innovaderm to accommodate various time zones of team members.
