The Role

BeyondTrust is seeking a Solutions Marketing Manager, Public Sector to join our marketing team! As a Solutions Marketing Manager, Public Sector, you will work closely with our Public Sector sales leader to develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to effectively promote our solutions within federal, state/local government agencies as well as Education verticals. This is an exciting opportunity to help scale our business in the public sector industry.  The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the Public Sector market, mandates, and priorities as well as the ability to articulate how our solutions help solve and comply with various regulations.  These include but are not limited to Zero Trust, Whole-of-State, iCAM and the DOD Interoperability guidance.  You need to be able to translate technical solutions into compelling content to grow BeyondTrust’s presence and influence in these markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and drive clear and compelling messaging and positioning that differentiates our solutions in the public sector markets. 
  • Representing the team, work closely with product management, sales, subject matter experts and other internal teams to gather insights, influence messaging, and ensure content aligns with broader company sales play positioning.
  • Develop and successfully implement a robust content strategy; craft and communicate compelling content (white papers, case studies, blog posts, infographics and more) that resonate with federal audiences and highlight the value and impact of our solutions.
  • Train internal sales teams and enable key partners on key messaging and positioning to ensure alignment and effectiveness in communications. 
  • Work closely and build trust with key partners, including government contractors, system integrators, and resellers, at all leadership levels, to develop joint marketing strategies and collateral that enhance product visibility and reach within the federal market.
  • Align with marketing and sales leadership to create clearly defined metrics for success. 

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity product or solutions marketing for SaaS-based or software businesses, preferably focused on the public sector market.
  • Strong understanding of Public Sector procedures and regulations.
  • Expertise in FedRAMP/STATERAMP and other Government ATOs/APLs and certifications.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven background building a program from the ground up. 
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • The preferred location for this position is the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. The regional public sector headquarters is based in McLean, Virginia.
    Qualified candidates outside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area may be considered.
