Job description

The AVP National Sales Distribution is responsible for recruiting, managing, cultivating, and growing sales and marketing relationships with assigned distribution channels and/or key accounts nationally. Build and manage effective long-term sales relationships with multiple organizations. providing sales support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·         Oversee the sales effort to create demand for the organization's product and services to ensure sustainable and profitable growth while meeting or exceeding sales plans for assigned distributions and products.

·         Manage and oversee department budget.

·         Partner with other distribution leaders with product development and launch.

·         Develop and implement long term strategies to meet the organizations growth strategies including recruiting new quality partner organizations while building and managing effective long-term sales relationships with current partner organizations

·         Develop and/or assist in the sales planning effort to include analysis of competitive products and services, advertising strategies, sales processes and techniques.

·         Collaborate with other distributions and marketing.

·         Manage direct reports including overseeing workflow, communicate company goals and policies, provides feedback, foster a positive work environment, and promote employee development. Responsible for performance of the team including training, hiring and performance management.

·         Leads the organization by providing feedback, fostering a culture of betterment, and overseeing assigned distributions operations.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or related field. Combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Experience

·         10+ year's relevant sales management experience.
