The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Serve as the strategic business finance partner to the SVP Chief Transformation Officer and VP Transition Management Office and key members of the global leadership team.  This will involve planning, analysis, driving financial outcomes, partnering with multiple functions across supply chain, IT, finance and other functions as needed.  Focus will be on connecting operational and financial outcomes on multiple projects.

As a(n) Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Partnering with the SVP Chief Transformation Officer and VP TMO as part of the TMO operating team
  • Drive deep understanding of financial performance, and help to create the story associated with financial results
  • Connect the dots between financial results and operational actions required.
  • Be a vocal and active member of the Transformation office
  • Prepare the VP TMO with deep understanding of variances from plan and estimates, along with drivers and action plans for discussions with senior leadership
  • Inject financial rigor into the global planning and execution process
  • Co-ordinate annual operating plan development and execution
  • Recommend course correcting actions as learnings, or changing situations, merit
  • Provide scenario modeling across various scenarios for supply chain and/or business process changes
  • Use the financial expertise, relationships, and skills to lead and support simplification and consistent understanding
  • Provide clear and timely global division level KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and to identify risks.
  • Ensuring that success is achieved through the utmost ethical and legal means
  • Develop talent both in and out of finance

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in business administration, economics, engineering, finance, accounting, or other business and/or finance discipline
  • Seven (7) years in finance or finance related experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong financial acumen - ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms
  • Minimum experience in Division, Supply Chain or area leadership experiences preferred.
  • Strong experience influencing across the organization
  • Solid understanding of multiple workstreams and how they come together
  • Solid business knowledge and acumen as well as strategic thinking mindset
  • Creative problem solving - ability to work with diverse functional teams to evaluate and address key issues
  • Risk management analysis skills
  • Self-starter with ability to drive change
  • Very Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
