Business Unit: Environmental Compliance

Title: Building Compliance Liaison Officer, Temporary - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $89907.72 to $104487.69 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Environment Compliance:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Building Control team with respect to triaging of all incoming enquiries to determine the best course of action to resolve complaints.
  • Where required, assist the team with inspections, investigations, undertake research and issue standard letters to assist the team in meeting community expectations.

 

Our opportunity :

The key focus areas of this role include:

  1. Review all incoming building compliance enquiries regarding illegal land use and illegal building works.
  2. Review all incoming building compliance enquiries to ensure customers are provided with technical information in a timely manner.
  3. Provide excellent customer service by being professional, courteous, and respectful to all parties when undertaking duties.
  4. Interrupt legislation and review approvals and stamped plans to determine if there is a non-compliance based on the customers enquiry.
