Job description

Our growing design team is adding a Senior UX Designer role to support the Back-Up Care team at Bright Horizons.  

Our existing team of 10 in-house design generalists have access to user data, usability testing tools and our support team to help create great experiences for our suite of digital products. Please submit a portfolio showing work samples and team management experience when completing an application.

Responsibilities:  

  • Design wireframes, prototypes and detailed specifications for development teams (using Figma). 

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and interviews to gather insights. 

  • Coach and resource planning for your design team. 

  • Run design critiques to continuously improve design quality and consistency across lines of business. 

  • Review development work to ensure it aligns with experience goals.  

  • Stay updated on design trends and provide recommendations for improvements.  

  • Collaborate with the UX teams to maintain design standards and style guides.  

  • Contribute to the Bright Horizons Design System. 

  • Remote opening, preference in Denver, CO area


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience as a UX designer with design ownership of a successful B2C or B2B mobile application. Experience with Enterprise app design is preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience as a team lead is preferred

  • Experience designing accessible, mobile-friendly apps 

  • Experience contributing to design system efforts 

  • Experience with resource planning / mentoring. 

  • Strong visual design sense, with a clear command of interaction design, and usability. 

  • Experience with design sprints / workshop facilitation.  

  • The ability to clearly articulate design decisions. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, and an ability to build great relationships across the organization. 

Salary and Other Compensation Disclosures:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $112,500 – $130,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
