About Pale Blue Dot:

Pale Blue Dot provides strategic operations and finance advisory services to consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. Our offerings include fundraising advisory, financial planning and analysis, financial strategy and leadership, supply chain management, sales and marketing operations support, and development of near- and long-term strategies in partnership with senior leadership. The team is led by founder Russell Kohn, who has extensive experience in building and launching CPG brands.

The Finance & Accounting Analyst will report to the Vice President of Finance and work closely with other members of the Pale Blue Dot team, as well as interact with clients on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Categorizing invoices and preparing schedules to support accounting processes
• Assisting in preparing monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Performing account reconciliations to ensure accurate records and resolve discrepancies
• Supporting the creation of budgets and financial forecasts for operational planning
• Providing reporting based on financial data from platforms like QuickBooks Online or Xero
• Ad hoc support based on financial analyses requested by clients

Ideal Experience:

• 2 years as an accountant or financial analyst
• CPA or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero and other accounting software platforms
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Prior work in role that supported multiple clients a plus
