Senior Product Designer

Help us create a product that will change Norwegian healthcare forever.

Building great products requires experienced designers with the right mindset. It’s a continuous, iterative process of understanding user needs, gathering insights, and refining solutions. We need people who can do more than just create beautiful designs — they must craft experiences that truly resonate.

Who are we and what do we stand for?

Our ambition is to give Norwegians the missing healthcare platform they deserve. An integrated set of products and services to allow institutions, clinicians, social workers, and citizens to seamlessly interact on healthcare matters.

We all have family and friends who have had less than satisfying run-ins with the healthcare system, repeating their story to new healthcare workers without access to the relevant records. Again and again. New faces. Same story. Binders hauled between offices explaining treatments. Time wasted. Inhabitants suffering. They shouldn't have to.

Our goal is not just to make an updated version of today’s frustrating and much-maligned solutions. We want to completely rethink what is possible. It is an audacious vision. When Aidn succeeds, our software will be among the most critical platforms running in Norway’s municipalities.

That’s where you come in.

At Aidn, we focus on creating products that make life easier and more enjoyable for healthcare professionals, administrators, and inhabitants. As a Senior Product Designer, you will craft intuitive, user-centric designs that not only look great but work seamlessly. This role is essential in shaping accessible, functional mobile experiences that meet the needs of our users and align with Aidn’s vision and goals.

We’re a fast-moving company, so this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are aligned with business objectives, while elevating the user experience across our product suite. With solid experience designing for mobile apps and responsive interfaces, and a knack for UI work, you’ll help deliver solutions that are both impactful and cohesive.

Other things to get excited about:
  • Flexible hours
  • 6 weeks of vacation
  • Opportunity to take part in our employee share scheme
  • The opportunity to contribute with your work, to a purpose-driven company

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating user-centered, accessible designs that align with Aidn’s Product Principles, ensuring seamless and intuitive user experiences.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, developers, designers, and other stakeholders to align on goals, address dependencies, and ensure cohesive design outcomes.
  • Using research and data-driven insights to inform design decisions, including conducting qualitative and quantitative research (e.g., user interviews, usability testing) to meet user needs.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing systemic design challenges to improve scalability, consistency, and usability across the product suite.
  • Delivering high-quality designs for mobile and app-based platforms, ensuring responsiveness and functionality across diverse user devices.
  • Facilitating alignment by clearly communicating design decisions and ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.

Typical tasks and activities:
  • Developing high-fidelity designs and prototypes for mobile, responsive, and app experiences that adhere to Aidn’s Design System.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to bring designs to life and integrate feedback into the process.
  • Conducting user research (interviews, usability testing, data analysis) to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Sharing work with the team and company to ensure transparency, gather feedback, and maintain alignment with product objectives.
  • Managing complex design tasks autonomously from concept through delivery, ensuring effective and impactful outcomes.
  • Leveraging qualitative and quantitative analytics to inform design decisions and measure user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with other designers to resolve dependencies and maintain alignment across design efforts.
  • Creating designs at speed without compromising quality to align with the team's fast-paced workflow.

We think you will thrive at Aidn if…

You are an effective communicator
You excel at sharing design ideas, decisions, and updates with both technical and non-technical audiences. You ensure clarity by articulating the reasoning behind your design choices, fostering collaboration across teams, and building trust with stakeholders. Fluency in Norwegian is a must, as it ensures seamless communication with our users and stakeholders.

You are experience-focused
You’re passionate about delivering user-centered designs that are accessible, intuitive, and visually engaging. Your work enhances user satisfaction and aligns with business goals, contributing directly to the success of Aidn’s products.

You connect design to the company vision
You understand Aidn’s mission and ensure that your work supports our strategic objectives. You balance user needs and business priorities, making thoughtful trade-offs to deliver solutions that are impactful in both the short and long term.

You take ownership and deliver results
You independently lead design projects from discovery through delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes at every stage. You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable, taking accountability for aligning your work with project goals and timelines.

You collaborate across teams to bring ideas to life
You work closely with developers, product managers, and other designers to turn ideas into functional solutions. By aligning user experience with technical feasibility, you ensure designs are implemented effectively and consistently across our product suite.
