Insurity’s Next Cloud Operations Infrastructure Architect
Seeking an aspiring leader to help build, grow and shape cloud architecture at Insurity through hands-on effort and collaboration across the enterprise, and a results-driven mindset.
What Our Cloud Operations Infrastructure Architect Will Do
- Design and architect infrastructure, system and application projects primarily in AWS and Azure
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve cloud infrastructure
- Evaluate and unify systems, processes, and cloud technology across various public clouds
- Work with various teams to create common processes and practices across all cloud production environments
- Work with various teams to architect and design in-house developed software to be deployed into production environments
- Create documentation and diagrams of new systems and processes
- Diagnose complex system & performance problems leveraging domain specific diagnostic tools.
- Work with new and existing clients to solve complex architectural problems
- Participate in rotating team on-call support for production systems
- Perform tasks across various areas of technology to support the Cloud Ops team’s applications and infrastructure
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members
- Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience with Microsoft’s Software Suite, including Windows Server
- Experience with RPM-based GNU Linux distributions
- Extensive Public Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure)
- Proven experience with Cloud Systems Monitoring tools (Solarwinds, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, others)
- Advanced experience in public infrastructure architecture (high-availability, disaster recovery, etc.)
- Solid hands-on experience operating LAN/WAN in a multi-site environment
- Solid understanding of the software SDLC
- Experience architecting, designing, and supporting public cloud infrastructure
- Experience troubleshooting complex issues with diagnostic tools
- Experience in network discovery and building network topologies, including Cloudflare, DNS, Transit Gateway peering, ZTNA, VPN and direct connections
- Proven experience with internal and external systems integration
- Clearly describe application data flow and communications traversing through cloud infrastructure
- Automation through Scripting (PowerShell, IaC)
- Proven experience planning virtual infrastructure expansions
- Experience with Security tools and practices in public clouds operations

Required Experience
- 2x Certifications in a Cloud Operations-related technology:
- AWS or Azure
- Other certifications for domain specific expertise may qualify.
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure architecture.
- MS Office, Workflow management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
- Minimum 8 years in a 24x7 high-availability production environment
- 0-25% travel may be required

We have five Core Values at Insurity; one of which is to Act with Integrity. Providing pay transparency helps you make the best decision for you. We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $105,000 - $167,000 commensurate with experience.
