  • Period of Performance: 17 February 2025 to 31 August 2025 renewable three (3) option years
  • Estimate Pay: $50.00 to $54.40

Working Hours:

Work is typically scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Texas Region Preferred as possible in-person meetings may be required. No Travel will be paid. While the schedule may need to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1040 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for after-hours as needed.

Summary:

The position in the Finance division at TEA, a CAPPS HUB Agency, aims to review the current configuration for efficiency and evaluate best use cases moving forward. The goal is to reduce the workload on staff resources, increase accuracy in reporting, and minimize the maintenance of existing systems. This role focuses on optimizing processes and improving system performance to ensure a more streamlined and effective operation.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • At least 10 years - Experience with CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reengineering best practices
  • At least 10 years - Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement
  • At least 10 years - Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms
  • At least 10 years - Experience with ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft in Texas
  • At least 10 years - Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products
  • At least 10 years - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • At least 10 years - CAPPS GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing, E-Procurement, AP, Cash Receipts, Inv, Assets and Grants
  • At least 10 years - PeopleSoft Financial modules implementation and post-go live experience with an emphasis on process improvement
  • At least 5 years - Leading Five (5) or more State Agency CAPPS Financial Implementations

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years - Familiar with TCAPPS configuration with TEA.

Duties/Responsibilities

This will include working with cross-divisional executives, directors and other stakeholders as directed by the CFO to review current TCAPPS business processes which will include but is not limited to:

  • Coordinating the necessary functional and technical resources when collaboration is required.
  • Lead analysis to re-engineer or develop processes necessary for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
  • Working with business customers to gather requirements for the system and/or process improvements and report development.
  • Responsible for consistent use of project standardized processes and forms, including but not limited to, Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change
  • Controls, Risk and Issue log, Scope Documentation, Configuration Documentation, Business Process Flows, and other project documents as needed.
  • Provide input to project management to estimate the level of effort required for customer requested activities.
  • Prepare detailed documentation in support of any of the activities listed above as requested by management.
  • Complete full range of testing and configuration as needed.
  • Design, Test and Build Queries to assist with business process improvement.
