Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager for Piston Pumps will integrate the Europe and Africa ARO Team.
The individual is responsible for sales growth and business development activities with strategic accounts, OEM, and distributors. He formulates strategies and implements plans to grow overall sales revenue and market share for our piston pumps products in the specific vertical segments. The candidate must have a solid knowledge of the pneumatic piston technology, its markets and applications (Sealant and adhesives dispense, surface finishing, spraying, lubrication…).
Key Role & Responsibilities:
- You lead the business development activities within the Europe & Africa region for our piston pump portfolio.
- You set the course for success in specific vertical markets by defining a clear strategy and goals.
- After identifying our strengths and weaknesses, you build the strategy, develop the tools and processes to target and convert new customers and channel partners.
- You develop strategic account relationships with OEM, specialized distributors and key accounts.
- You engage and support Territory Sales Managers to develop the opportunity pipeline and to convert the pipeline into revenues.
- You coordinate pricing and product strategy for the region with our product management and sales enablement teams.
- You create and coordinate product / market specific communication to promote our product offering within the targeted market segments (newsletter, distributor meetings, webinar, promotions…).
- You identify training needs for products or service.
- You support product management to collect and report on product surveys, market trends or competitive information.
- When required, you provide field support to the sales team or channels.
- You understand the market needs and requirement and you develop appropriate packages with our product management or Solution Center.
- You also identify potential target for M&A.
Key Qualifications:
- Engineer or Bachelor degree.
- 5+ years of proven experience in sales with technical products to industrial markets.
- Expertise in Piston Pumps related markets, technologies and applications.
- Good knowledge of the end user market segments (Sealant and adhesives dispense, surface finishing, spraying, lubrication…)
- Demonstrate an understanding of strategic account and vertical segment business drivers and purchasing behaviors.
- Strong sales & technical background.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interface at all levels in an international environment.
- Strong written, verbal and presentations skills.
- Ambitious, enthusiastic and persistent.
- Committed, engaged and reliable.
- Achievement-oriented and willing to put a high level of effort to produce results in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment that is dynamic and evolving.
- Self-starter, ability to function independently without micro-management.
- Demonstrated qualities of creative approach to problem solving and risk taking.
- Proficient in computer related skills; Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English and at least one other European language.
- This position is home-office based with regular travels, 50% working time.
- Located in Western Europe.
