Software Developer

Description

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle on SaaS projects, from conception to deployment. The Software Developer designs, builds, tests, and maintains high quality technology solutions to meet business needs. The duties of this role primarily focus on building applications by writing and modifying code to fix errors, adapt to new technologies, improve performance, and implement new features; and will be involved in guiding system testing and validation procedures.

• Have a passion for web app development and/or cyber security.

• 2+ years of Computer Science or Software Engineering related experience is required   

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, or related field, or the equivalent is required    

• Previous remote or hybrid work experience is a plus.  

What to expect: 

In this role, you will: 

• Detailed design, coding, code optimization, unit testing, and code deployment.

• Full software life cycle: requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, development, code reviews, test automation, and implementation using Agile methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD).

• Review and provide feedback on other developer’s code.

• Peer review designs, fix bugs, and troubleshoot operational issues.

• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack.

• Deliver a high level of performance in the quantity of work produced and the quality of deliverables

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 2 or 4-year degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and related experience/training

• 2+ years' experience in software development

• Excellent analytical and organization skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity working with relational Database

• Work collaboratively in Scrum environment utilizing Agile tools i.e. JIRA

• Knowledge of programming languages and technologies, .Net Core, MVC, C#, Vue.js, or SQL.

Additional Details  

• This is a hybrid-remote, full-time position.  

• This role would require occasional travel.  

• While SBS does offer a flexible work environment, the standard days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT.  

• On rare occasions, this position may require some after-work hours due to workload or a tight deadline.
