Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Credit Analyst administers credit and collection programs, oversees investigation of credit risk in customers and suppliers, and ensure compliance with Ergotron’s credit and collection policies and procedures. Implements processes to improve cash flow and reduce receivables. This position assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective credit analysis and credit risk management functions.

Position Responsibilities:

Credit Management:

  • Assess the creditworthiness of new customers, assign payment terms and credit limits on accounts requesting credit limits at or over $50,000 using credit reports, bank and trade information, financial statements and forecast sales information. 
  • Perform annual credit reviews on existing customers with credit limits at or over $50,000 and/or customers requesting credit limit increases. 
  • Ensure timely collection of receivables in alignment with customer credit and payment terms in compliance with Ergotron’s credit & collection policies and procedures. 
  • Manage the Credit & Collections team’s relationships with internal departments/personnel, customers, and trade credit insurance agencies.

Escalation services:

  • Serve as escalation point for accounts over credit limits and/or past due who are not paying or persistently slow paying. 
  • Review accounts and determine when accounts should be placed on credit hold or moved to cash in advance. 
  • Assist in resolution of past due balances.  
  • For severe delinquencies, review accounts and provide proper documentation with management for possible legal action. 

Reporting and Metrics:

  • Prepare and monitor reporting of key Credit and Collection metrics including Accounts Receivable Aging, days sales outstanding (DSO), Cash Forecast, and other statistics weekly and monthly.  
  • Lead special projects and represent the team on projects impacting Credit & Collections. 

Bad Debt Reserve:

  • Monitor bad debt reserves and customer disputes. 
  • Lead monthly account review meeting including discussion of delinquent accounts with accounting management and CFO. 
  • Calculate IFRS bad debt reserve monthly. 
  • Address impact of past due credits on the calculation. 
  • Work with the Credit & Collection team to resolve older credits. 
  • Recommend accounts for write-off.

Account Management:

  • Manage a limited portfolio of customer accounts. 
  • Monitor hold account reports and ensure resolution complies with Ergotron’s Credit & Collection policies and procedures. 

Account Reconciliations:

  • Prepare monthly General Ledger reconciliations for Accounts Receivable.

Communication:

  • It is critical that communication occur in a timely manner and that actions are clearly communicated via email or phone and recorded in the customer record when a decision to change or grant a credit limit or place an account on hold. Communicate to internal departments/personnel as well as the customer.
  • Lead projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Credit, Collections and Cash Flow.
  • Recommend and implement new concepts and approaches to advance the scope and value of the position. 
  • Additional duties as requested.
  • Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in credit and collections environment.
  • 2+ years experience in assessing credit worthiness and setting credit limits.
  • NACM: Credit Business Associate or Credit Business Fellow certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, financial statements, balance sheet, income statements and cash flow.
  • Thorough working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding credit and collections.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and act as a financial representative of Ergotron to customers and other external parties.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Oracle, Salesforce and company owned websites.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.

Salary Description
$65,000 - $75,000 + Bonus
